Redevelopment Plans for Canterbury and Grasshopper/Kilborn Parks

In the March 2011 issue of Vistas, I put out a call to residents for ideas on how to upgrade and revitalize Canterbury and Grasshopper Hill/Kilborn Parks. Many responses were received with some exciting suggestions. I hosted a community meeting for each park project at the Canterbury Community Centre at the end of May. The objective was to hear firsthand what local residents envisioned for their parks.
I am pleased to present first-draft concept plans illustrating potential redevelopment for these parks. The concepts were created based on your ideas received by phone, at the meetings and through email. Thank you to everyone who participated so far. Your continued input is important for the success of this project.
Once all submissions have been considered, the concept plans will be revised and final drawings will be posted on my website. The call for tender will be issued early in the new year with installation planned for the Spring.
